John Kerry in Poland. Bitter words about Donald Trump

Former Secretary of State of the United States (2013-2017) John Kerry during the Impact'25 event in Poznań talked with the editor-in-chief of Onet Bartosz Węglarczyk about how climate change affects the economy and what the world leaders do with this world.
John Kerry, the rival of the Republican candidate George W. Bush in 2004, asked about Donald Trump's attitude towards climate change, said that “the president has changed, but science has not changed.” He estimated that Trump's people “tell the whole world, that two plus two are not four, which costs us a lot of money.” “They hide their heads in the sand and pretend that nothing is happening,” he said.
There was also a question about whether Donald Trump could become the US president for the third term. “This is prohibited by the United States Constitution,” the American diplomat said firmly. In this context, he reminded the attack on the Capitol in January 2021.
“There was no similar uprising since the Civil War, maybe only one day, but it was an uprising, an attempt to interfere in properly conducted elections,” he said. He added that Donald Trump is still repeating this lie.
John Kerry about Vladimir Putin. “You have to give him clearly”
Bartosz Węglarczyk asked the former US Secretary of State for war in Ukraine and what world leaders should do to end it. In his opinion, it is necessary to give him clear that in “this is a situation without a way.”
– During conversations with Vladimir Putin, I often listened to a long list of regrets and grievances, which largely managed him. I believe that we must take these complaints into account, because some of them are justified, “said John Kerry in Poznań.
He also said that in his opinion “the future of Europe will largely depend on the outcome of events in Ukraine.” – So we have to bet on our own. We must clearly talk about the fact that we support Ukraine, because it is more than about Ukraine itself – he concluded.
The former US secretary also talked about Poland. He noticed that our country has a “long history of demanding freedom, demanding action, dating back to Lech Wałęsa.” – Poland is at the forefront of values that do not allow one nation to attack another and break all faith in the universal values that we established after World War II. It is worth fighting for this – he added.
