Australian TV presenter Bindi Irwin sent a public message from the hospital bed after missing from the annual gala dedicated to her father Steve Irwin, an absence that caused concerns about fans around the world, reports People magazine.
In a video published on his Instagram page, Bindi Irwin revealed that he had just left a surgery.
“My appendix was removed. Also, 14 new lesions caused by endometriosis were removed and, kindly, they repaired my hernia,” Irwin told the video, mentioning that she is “forever grate” to her doctors.
Visibly tired, Irwin added: “I'm sorry if they seem a little dizzy in this video.”
“I just wanted to know that I am on the way to recovery, step by step. I am so lucky that I have so much love from my wonderful family,” Irwin continued. “I send you good thoughts and light and we will go over it together.”
She said she appreciates “all the beautiful messages we received and the support given to our Las Vegas gala”.
“All the appreciation for Robert, who was the host of the event – did an incredible job by raising funds and drawing attention to the Wildlife Warriors organization. And thanks to my family for being with me. I have so much love for the sake of Chandler and Dulcea Grace. Thank you, Mom,”
Steve Irwin's daughter stepped on her father's footsteps
At the Gala held on Saturday, May 10, in Las Vegas, Bindi's brother, Robert, 21, spoke for the People's publication about how his sister was felt.
“He came to Las Vegas and was determined to participate in the gala, to keep his smile, although he had a lot of discomfort and pain, and said,” No, I will be strong, I will go further, “he recalled. “But the surgeon said,” No, the appendix must be removed. We must operate. “The health must be in the first place.”
Bindi was only 8 years old when her father, the famous naturalist and TV presenter Steve Irwin, died in 2006. Both she and her brother Robert appeared with their father and mother, Terri Irwin, in The Crocodile Hunter since they were little.
After the death of his father, Bindi continued his inheritance by active involvement in the preservation of the wildlife and by appearances in TV shows dedicated to nature. Became internationally known as the host host Bindi The Jungle Girl and won in 2015 the American edition of the competition Dancing with the Stars.
Currently, she works with her family at Australia Zoo and is an active supporter of animal protection.
