White soles of sneakers or sneakers are stylish, but they instantly lose their appearance. Yellow spots from time, dirt or oxidation spoil even the coolest couples. However, you should not throw your favorite shoes, because you can return whiteness in a minute – with the help of a means that every girl has.
What do you need?
- Acetone (or liquid for removing varnish with acetone in the composition)
- Cotton pad (or soft pile fabric)
- 5 minutes of time
How to clean the sole?
- Drop 2-3 drops of acetone on a cotton pad.
- Gently rub the polluted areas of the sole.
- Wash the rest with a dry cloth.
The yellowness will disappear after the first wiping.
Old spots may require 2-3 approaches.
The sole will become noticeably lighter without damage.
Acetone is a powerful solvent that corrodes the oxides (the main cause of yellowness) removes the stuck dirt, not scratching the surface, acts instantly – no need to wait, as with folk methods (soda, peroxide).
Important! Do not use acetone on color materials – paint may pass. Check on an inconspicuous area if the sole is with the texture. After processing, you can wipe the sole with a damp cloth.
If there is no acetone, try:
- Toothpaste + brush – suitable for fresh contaminants.
- Hydrogen peroxide + soda – helps, but works slower.
- Special foam for white soles.
