Much colder weather and rain almost daily throughout the country. When the beautiful weather comes back

The current week will bring, at national level, a much colder weather than it would be normal for the calendar period, but next week a heating process will begin, and the thermal maximums will return to values of 20 – 23 degrees, in some regions, the forecast published by the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) reveals.

The showers will appear with increased probability in almost the entire analyzed interval (May 12 – 25).

In Banat, in the first week of the forecast interval, the thermal values will have alternations from one day to another and will be well below the climatological media specific to the period. Thus, maximum temperatures will be recorded, on average, between 16 and 20 degrees and minimums between 3 and 7 degrees. By the end of the second week, the temperatures will be rising, approaching the specific norms of the period. On average, maximums between 20 and 23 degrees and minimums between 7 and 10 degrees will be recorded. The probability of showers will be increasing from May 16th.

In Crișana, in the first days of the interval, the weather will be cold for this period, registering thermal maximums, on average, of 16-18 degrees and a minimum of 35 degrees. In the middle of this week there will be alternations from day to day (maximum, on average, 14-18 degrees), and by the end of the interval there will be a gradual heating period and maximum temperatures of up to 22-23 degrees and minimums up to 9-10 degrees. There will be periods with showers on the first day of the range and again from May 16, until the end.

In Transylvania, at the beginning of the forecast interval, the weather will be colder than usual, with maximum temperatures that will not exceed, on average, 13 – 16 degrees, and the minimums will be located, between 2 and 5 degrees. By the date of May 16, the thermal values will easily oscillate from day to day, without significant variations. Subsequently, a heating tendency will be felt, with thermal maximums that will gradually reach averages of 19 – 20 degrees and minimums that will be, on average, 7 – 8 degrees, in the last days of the interval. Thus, the temperatures will gradually return to the specific climatological norms for the second half of May. There will be time intervals with showers almost every day, more intense in the first two days and again on May 16.

In Maramureș, the weather will be cold for this time in the first days of the interval, when maximum temperatures will be recorded, on average, of 14-16 degrees and minimums that will go down to 13 degrees. By the date of May 16, there will be easy oscillations from day to day. Subsequently, the weather will enter a gradual heating process, so that in the last days of the interval maximum temperatures are estimated, on average, up to 19-20 degrees and minimums up to 7-9 degrees. There will be periods with showers on almost every day of the interval, more intense especially on May 16.

In Moldova, the weather will be much colder than characteristic of the period, in the first week of forecast, but nevertheless, the thermal values will increase easily and gradually from one day to the other, and throughout the interval, the averages will be between 12 and 18 degrees and of the minimums between 2 and 6 degrees. In the next week, a heating process will be installed that will carry out the daytime values to 20 degrees, and the nights to 10 degrees, values estimated by regional mediation. The probability of rains on larger and more intense areas will be higher after May 16, but also in the rest of the days there will be reports at times and especially in the afternoons.

In Dobrogea, until May 19, the thermal regime, although it will have small oscillations, will be below the threshold of climatological media specific to the date, even in the first days of forecast. The maximums will be between 16 and 20 degrees, and the minimums between 6 and 10 degrees, values that represent the regional averages estimated in the first week. The next period will be characterized by a gradual increase in temperatures, so that the maximum average will approach 22 degrees, and those of minimums of 12 degrees. The probability of rains will be raised throughout the interval. These will manifest themselves mainly in the afternoon and evening, and the data in which they will be extensive is estimated to be 14, 17, 18 and between 20 and 25 May.

In Muntenia, the forecast interval will start with a very cold weather for this calendar date, and the changes will not be major during the first week, even if the thermal values will also have growth trends. In this context, the maximums will have the averages between 16 and 20 degrees, and the minimums between 6 and 8 degrees. After May 19, it will be warmed gradually, so that daytime values will be reached around 23 degrees and nocturnal of 9 – 11 degrees, these being estimated to be recorded by regional mediation. The rains will appear on almost the whole period, smaller probabilities are being seen on May 12, 15 and 22.

In Oltenia, there will be two short periods of heating the weather in the first week, between May 12 and 15 and again, until May 18, but nevertheless, the weather will be colder than normal, and the daytime thermal regime will be between 16 and 21 degrees and the night between 6 and 8 degrees, values obtained by regional mediation. In the second week there will be an almost continuous course of temperatures, with maximums whose environments will finally reach 24 degrees and minimums to 12 degrees. The probability of larger and more intense showers will be high on May 16, 17 and 18 and after May 22.

In the mountain, the thermal values will be under the normal date of this date in the calendar in all massifs, but will have oscillations from one day to the other. Until May 15, they will increase from the maximums on average of 4 degrees to 8 degrees and minimum from -2 degrees to 0 degrees, then, the next day, they will decrease to the debut values and subsequently register a continuous growth process, which will lead to the end of the interval to diurnal values of 12 degrees and nocturnal 4 degrees, these are obtained from the average. The probability of rainfall will be raised throughout the interval. In the first week there will be mixed precipitation on ridges.

The ENM estimate is made using the numerical products of the European Center for Medium Surround Forecasts (ECMWF – European Center for Medium Surround Forecasts), with the maximum and minimum temperatures, mediated for each region of the country and adapted with statistical models and periods with the highest probability of precipitation are indicated.
