The issue of suspension of the right to asylum is back. Donald Tusk spoke

The government adopted a resolution on referring such a conclusion to the Sejm at a meeting this week. The current regulation entered into force on March 27. Another temporary limitation of the right to submit an application for international protection at the border with Belarus will apply for another 60 days.
Tusk with the protection of the external boundaries of the EU borders
During a joint press conference in Warsaw, Tusk said that together with the German Chancellor he talked about issues related to migration, which are “the problem of all EU countries”.
“Sometimes we have already talked about it. This topic evokes justified emotions, fears, and also directly affects the fate of not only Germany and Poland, but also all of Europe,” said the head of the Polish government.

“I am very pleased that we are looking for solutions, symmetrical and European solutions together. Our care should be Schengen. I understand the need for enhanced control, but this enhanced control should be dedicated primarily to the external borders of the European Union” – assessed the Polish prime minister.
Controls on the Polish-German border have been in force since October 2023. On Wednesday, German media announced that from now all illegal migrants will be turned back at the borders of Germany, even if they apply for asylum.
