Owners of luxury cottages in the village of Pozdnyakovo near Moscow are preparing a class action lawsuit against the developer INSLI. The company abandoned the houses unfinished, erased information about the project from the website and stopped communicating with the owners.
The “Hugge House” project promised buyers a life with a Scandinavian vibe – cozy and comfortable. In houses measuring three hundred square meters, seven kilometers from Moscow. Prices started from 29 million rubles. All 84 mansions were sold. With 100% prepayment.
Future hygge residents should have received their Bauhaus-style cottages back in 2022. A proud statement then even appeared on the INSLI website: “The project was built and implemented.” But instead of modernist architecture, the owners grabbed a bit of post-apocalypse: dug up roads, dirt, mountains of garbage, unfinished houses. Sewerage, gas pipeline, lighting, checkpoints, playgrounds? No, we haven't heard.
Next – two years of communication with the developer and assurances that you need to wait a little. And then a little more. By March 2024, the company, according to the owners, stopped communicating with them. And I completely removed information about the cottage community from the site. The current state of affairs where the garden village was supposed to be is in the video.
Among the defrauded owners are members of the SVO, people who took out a mortgage to buy a cottage, public sector employees and entrepreneurs. Now the owners of unfinished houses are preparing a collective appeal to INSLI. If it doesn't work, they'll go to court.
At the time of publication, INSLI did not respond to Mash’s editorial request.
