The interim president of Romania Ilie Bolojan participated in the Romanian Business Leaders summit on Wednesday, where he emphasized that Romania can make history on the vote of May 18.
“We are not in an ideal situation. We have to recognize that,” Bolojan said.
“I said last Sunday that the quiet times have sunset and every Romanian can make history. Every Romanian who will vote will make history. And my request is to go voting as your consciousness dictates. But think about the status of Romania in this world, think about dignity, that works, Romania, Scandal, “said Bolojan.
The interim president decorated the Romanian Business Leaders Association with the Order “Merit for promoting Human Rights” in the rank of Knight.
“It is honorable that as interim president I will participate in this gala of an organization that shows important to your projects and I said that Romania does not change from Bucharest, but from every place where Romanians from private companies or from the public sector do their duty.
“We considered it to be respected to be recognized this contribution and the institution of the President of Romania has decided to give this recognition that a form of respect. I want to thank Mr. Dragoș Anastasiu for collegiality and that I have moved to Cotroceni, we do more than we are asked.”
This year's theme of the summit is “trust in Romania”, according to the organizers.
The meeting, which was transmitted live on the Presidential Administration page, started with the state anthem of Romania.
