The doctor of ATI Elena Copaciu states that she is “amazed” by the fact that people who have the vaccine at hand as a resource to prevent serious diseases do not resort to it. “Who refuses the HPV vaccine to us in the country never seen how to die of cervical cancer,” the doctor said in an interview with Medika TV, according to News.ro.

“First of all, as a man, I am amazed to see, I could not believe that people can be so against vaccines. I grew up in a house where, after my eldest brother, a little girl who died at 3 months of convulsive cough, because there was no vaccine at that time, and my parents had a life. It was not too long until the vaccine that saved his life appeared.

“However, what happens at this time, it seems to me to be incredible. When you have the opportunity to access some medical resources that can prevent serious diseases and do not access them, it means that you do not understand anything that means the progress of science and what formidable chance you offer you,” adds Elena Copaciu.

The ATI also spoke about the HPV vaccine, which in other countries was a success, and in Romania it is refused by a part of the eligible population.

“Look at the HPV vaccine! I was shocked again to see the public discussion from us in the country. Because if there are countries like Australia, which at this moment have almost eradicated cervical cancer, who refuses this vaccine in us in the country NA never dies of cervical cancer. The names of others would invite them to go through a service with cervical cancer in the terminal stage.
