Syrski emphasized that the situation in the direction of Pokrowski remains extremely difficult, but the Ukrainian army was stabilized, and in some places even take over the tactical initiative.

The commander -in -chief of the Ukrainian army stated that the 425th separate assault regiment “Skała” proved to be known as an unit capable of effectively acting in the conditions of active defense.
This year, the unit showed effectiveness in the area of Szewczenko, and earlier, in 2022 – during the offensive operation in the Kharkiv region, in particular in Izium.

During the day of May 5, 200 combat clashes occurred on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Ukrainians replied Russians on 10 key sections. Most Russian assaults – 78 – were calculated in the direction of Pokrowski.
