Donald Trump on the ceasefire and US talks with Iran

Donald Trump has indicated that he does not expect to extend the ceasefire, which is scheduled to end on Wednesday. Just before the ceasefire expires, there is a lot of uncertainty about the talks between Washington and Tehran.
“I don't think they have a choice.” – said the US president in an interview for CNBC, when asked what he expects from the second round of peace negotiations with Iran.
“We eliminated their navy, we destroyed their air force, we destroyed their leaders,” he added.
Until when will the ceasefire between the US and Iran last?
Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that considers Wednesday evening as the end date of the truce (i.e. the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Polish time). This is a 24-hour delay from the original findings.
The US president does not want to extend this deadline. He added that he “expects further bombings” of Iran if an agreement with Tehran is not reached.
In turn, Iranian state television announced a different date on Tuesday — the ceasefire ends at midnight GMT on Tuesday-Wednesday (2.00 a.m. from Tuesday to Wednesday, Polish time).

Will Iran take part in talks with the US in Pakistan?
Iran still has not confirmed its participation in peace talks in Pakistan this week, Pakistani Minister Attaullah Tarar said in a post on X, adding that his country had made “sincere efforts to convince” Iran to participate in the negotiations.
“A formal response from Iran regarding the confirmation of the delegation to the peace talks in Islamabad is still awaited.” — said Tarar, adding that his country “maintains constant contact with the Iranians and follows the path of diplomacy and dialogue.”
“Iran's decision to join talks before the end of the two-week ceasefire is crucial,” Tarar said.
Is JD Vance flying to Pakistan for talks with Iran?
Axios reported that US Vice President JD Vance will travel to Pakistan on Tuesday morning for talks with Iran on an agreement to end the war.
According to CNN, the vice president is still in Washington. It is unclear when JD Vance will travel to Pakistan. The White House plans an emergency meeting on Tuesday to discuss next steps, and Vance will attend.
According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, Tehran was to withdraw from the next round of peace talks with the US due to “Washington's excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant changes of position, repeated contradictions and the ongoing naval blockade.”
