
Sweet pastries with a bright taste of lemon and crisping poppy seeds is a successful completion of any lunch. This delicate bread with a damp texture and sweet and sour glaze is simply prepared, but it looks like a dessert from a good confectionery.
Ingredients
- 200 g of flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 100 ml of vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. poppy
- zest 1 lemon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 100 g of sugar powder
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- Lemon slices for decoration
Stages of cooking
1. Beat the eggs with sugar to light foam, add oil and zest. See the flour with baking powder in a liquid mixture, then sprinkle with poppy seeds. The dough in consistency should resemble sour cream.
2. Lubricate the form with oil, pour the dough and send it to the oven for 40 minutes at 180 ° C. Check the readiness with a toothpick – it should come out dry. Leave hot bread in shape for 10 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
3. Mix sugar powder with lemon juice until a thick cream is consistent. Pour the cooled bread and decorate with thin slices of lemon. The glaze will freeze in 20-30 minutes, and the dish can be served to the table.
