The entire leadership of the PSD is expected to resign from the party, after Crin Antonescu's failure in the first round of presidential elections, according to Hotnews information.
The PSD president, Marcel Ciolacu and the entire leadership of the party are about to resign at 5 pm, sources from the management for Hotnews said.
Moreover, Ciolacu is willing to give up the head of the Government, he adds.
The information appears in the context in which the common candidate of PSD-PNL-UDMR in the presidential elections, Crin Antonescu, missed the qualification in the second round of the presidential elections, being defeated by George Simion and Nicușor Dan.
It is the second presidential failure of the PSD in the first round, after Ciolacu did not catch the final last fall. And then, Ciolacu resigned from the PSD forehead, but was reinstalled.
