Pep Guardiola (54 years old) is considered one of the greatest coaches in football history, having an enviable track record. Throughout his career, the Spanish has faced many renowned technicians, but the one he considers to be the most difficult opponent is Jurgen Klopp (57 years old).
The program of Stage #35 of the Premier League
Jurgen Klopp has prepared Liverpool for eight and a half seasons (2016-2024), during which time he managed to bring in the red side of the Champions League, a Premier League title, a Cup of England, two cups of the League, a European Super Cup, a Community Shield Trophy and a World Cup.

Thus, thanks to the charismatic German technician, the “cormorants” returned to the football elite, but Klopp's trip ended a year ago, when he decided to take a coaching break.
Therefore, Guardiola did not have the opportunity to face this season the man with whom he wore the most intense battles for winning trophies in England, but it seems that Manchester City's technician is still haunted by his former counterpart.
Pep Guardiola about Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool: “I was spending whole days trying to figure it out”
Recently, in a video presented in the UEFA's Pro Bachelor's degree course, the “citizens” coach revealed that Jurgen Klopp is definitely the hardest opponent he had in his entire career.

He also stated that the German represents the only technician who caused his headaches and insomnia.
The Liverpool prepared by Jurgen Klopp was the biggest challenge in my coach's career. He was always giving me headaches.
I have never had an opponent to spend so many nights and afternoon with my team of coaches trying to figure out how to stop them.
There were days when I thought, “I caught him”, and the next day he was destroying me. He was by far the hardest opponent due to his style of play, transitions, direct style in which the team attacks.
– confessed Guardiola
Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp have been in 30 official parties. The German imposed 12 times, the Guardiola of 11, and the other seven disputes ended in a draw.
But not all of these meetings took place in Manchester City – Liverpool confrontations. Between 2013-2015, the two managers were also opponents in “Der Klassiker”, Klopp preparing Borussia Dortmund, and Guardiola on Bayern Munich.
