The vast majority (77 %) of Russians are in no hurry to completely refuse cash, RBC reports with reference to the results of the survey* of the Superjob high -paying service.
Respondents explain the unwillingness to abandon cash by impossibility to pay with a card, attachment to “ringing coins and rustling of bills” everywhere, a fear of total control, as well as a concern to be left without purchases in the absence of the Internet.
Only 14 % of respondents are ready to completely switch to non -cash calculations.

Men are more often than women are ready to abandon cash (15 % versus 12 %, respectively). The non -cash payment method is also more likely to approve of Russians aged 35 to 45 years and with an income of 100 thousand rubles. (15 %each).
According to the results of a recent survey conducted by VTB, every second Russian stores cash at home. More than 40 % of respondents hold at home from 5 thousand to 30 thousand rubles, more than 30 % – from 30 thousand to 100 thousand rubles. About a quarter of citizens prefer to hide cash in a safe, as well as in piggy banks and books (20 %each). Another part of Russians (12 %) put money in hidden pockets in clothes or stored it on the old fashioned way under the mattress (7 %).
*The survey was conducted on April 21–29 at 377 settlements in all districts of Russia among the economically active population over 18 years. 1.6 thousand respondents participated in it.
