In the Partizansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, state traffic inspectors used their service weapons to detain a drunk driver.
The incident occurred on December 12 at night. The offender in the Nissan Sunny was spotted on one of the streets in the village of Partizanskoye, but he ignored the police’s demand to stop and, increasing his speed, tried to escape by driving onto the Partizanskoye-Mina highway. The pursuit began.
“The violator created a threat through his actions, so the police decided to use their service weapons. After firing a warning shot into the air, one of the officers, making sure that there were no other road users on the roadway, opened fire on the wheels of the car being pursued, as a result of which they managed to stop it on the street of Kirova in the village of Vershino-Rybnoye,” the State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
The foreign car was driven by a 30-year-old local resident who showed signs of intoxication. The examination showed that his exhaled air contained 0.48 mg/l of ethyl alcohol.

Several administrative materials were drawn up against the man: for driving a vehicle without a license, unregistered in accordance with the established procedure, lack of a compulsory motor liability insurance policy and disobedience to the police. The materials were sent to the court to decide on punishment, the car was placed in a special parking lot.
