PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk announced that his party would check whether Bank Pekao SA, his subsidiaries or foundations, was involved in financing the “hater campaign”. It is about profreating spots entitled “Your voice is important.” The bank spokesman and the foundation deny.

PiS deputies: Zbigniew Kuźmiuk and Jan Dziedziczak organized a Tuesday press conference in front of the headquarters of Bank Pekao SA said, among others About the parliamentary control related to the financing of the “Your Voice is important” campaign. “If it turned out that this company is involved in this type of hate, on one side of the political scene, we would have dealt with an incredible scandal,” said Kuźmiuk.

“According to our information, unfortunately this company or its subsidiaries or foundations were involved in financing this campaign and we want to explain in this matter from the company's management board,” said Kuźmiuk. Dziedziczak emphasized that “this is also a matter related to the equality of elections, the security of these choices.”

“State Treasury companies should be in the presidential election, in general in political elections, neutral. In these banks, including the bank also Polish citizens have money. Bank spokesman Paweł Jurek referred to the allegations of PiS deputies. He denied that the company was related to the “Your voice is important” foundation or its president. “Bank Pekao SA, its subsidiaries and the Bank Pekao SA Foundation did not transfer funds to the foundation and the natural person indicated in the letter of MPs. It is not true that the bank participated in the financing of the campaign to which today's MPs conference concerned” – he emphasized.

According to the information provided by Jurek, MP Kuźmiuk was asked to rectify his speech.

In the spots of “Your voice is important”, the actors present different views, e.g. related to sympathy towards Russia or pardoning people looking for asylum in Hungary. “On May 18, presidential election; you really want them to choose your president?” – asks the teacher.

“This is a satirical campaign, stigmatizing various types of behavior and attitudes that are contrary to the interests of Poland and Poles. There is no hate in this.
