In Krasnoyarsk, after the severe frost subsided, they began to deal with snowfall on the roads, the city SATP reported.

In extremely cold weather, the ramp on the road freezes to “stone» condition. It is impossible to cut it with motor grader knives. After warming, the snow became more pliable, so special equipment was brought out onto the Krasnoyarsk streets.

“Motor graders using a blade with a knife carefully cut off roll-up formed on the road surface. Drivers adjust the position of the blade so as to remove ice and not damage the asphalt. On narrow roads, the motor grader works alone. On wide ones – in conjunction with combined road vehicles», — the press service said.

In this case, one or more motor graders pass along the street, cutting away a layer of compacted snow. Behind them moves a chain of combined road vehicles, which shovel the snow and ice mass to the side of the road. Such teamwork allows the equipment to level and clear the roadway in one go, preventing the flow of cars from dragging the cut snow along the road.

SATP employees ask drivers to be patient and not to wedge themselves between special equipment. This interferes with the work of road workers and creates dangerous situations.
