In Krasnoyarsk, a driver who shot down two women on the sidewalk will go on trial. This was told in the prosecutor's office of the region.

In January 2024, the drunken 41-year-old Krasnoyarsk was driving in his Toyota RAV-4 car on Metallurgov Avenue. At the intersection, he did not wait for the green traffic light and resumed movement, and then rebuilt from the left strip through two rows at once.

As a result, the man drove on the sidewalk near the bus stop, where there were many people at that time. The driver shot down two women. One of them went to the hospital with severe injuries of the head and shoulder.

Krasnoyarsk refused the examination after an accident. Also, he did not go to check to a narcological dispensary.

The man partially pleaded guilty. The accused explained that he was sober, but overwhelmed.

“When I expected a change in the signals of the traffic light, I apparently dozed off, and made a spontaneous movement of the car, so I don’t remember the moment of collision with pedestrians,” Krasnoyarsk said.

The driver paid 100 thousand rubles to the injured woman to make amends for the damage caused to health and compensate for moral damage. Krasnoyarsk approved the accusation of violating the rules of the road while intoxicated, which entailed by negligence causing serious harm to human health.
