In the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk, the defense of the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Sergey Natarova is faced with the restriction of the possibility of presenting evidence. This was told by politician lawyer Alexander Khopot.
According to him, for 110 court hearings, the prosecutor called from 1 to 3 witnesses or read out the volume of the criminal case if the witnesses did not appear. “But the court ordered the defense to call 10 witnesses for each of the meetings. If they do not come, their testimony is read out by the prosecutor, ”said Khorop.
So, according to him, on April 28, several called witnesses could not come to the meeting. “But the judge accidentally had exactly those 3 volumes of the criminal case out of more than 300, which contained their testimonies,” the lawyer said.
“The prosecutor was instructed to announce them. There were no grounds for this, witnesses could appear on another day. There is a clear goal to accelerate the final charge, ”said lawyer Alexander Khopot.
The defender noted that investigative actions were not carried out from June 2023 before the trial of the case in court – to January 2024. These almost 7 months Sergey Natarov spent in custody.
“The defense will be sent to the actions of the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk to the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Irina Podnskova,” the lawyer said.
