In Krasnoyarsk, investigators proved the guilt of a man who was accused of fraud for 2 million rubles in the field of lending.

The police said that in the summer of 2023 the attacker turned to the bank for car loan. He provided false information about the place of work and salary and received 2 million rubles. Within 2 months, he had to buy a car and transfer it to the bank as a bail until the loan is completely repayment.

But the man violated the contract and spent money on other purposes. After making the first payment, he stopped paying the bank.

After the application submitted by the representative of the financial institution, the police opened a criminal case of fraud in the field of lending (part 3 of article 159.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Investigators found that the attacker did not have a source of income and was not immediately going to pay the debt.

The Soviet District Court examined the materials of the criminal case, found the man guilty and sentenced him to three years in prison.
