After the presidential debate on Monday night, social networks exploded with dozens of inspired memes from the most tense or unexpected moments of the confrontation between the candidates.

The debate on Monday evening marked an important moment in the election campaign for the presidential elections of May 2025, and the creativity of Romanians did not delay. The Internet users surprised the key moments of the evening and turned them into viral collages and images, stirring thousands of reactions and distributions.

One of the memes that became viral captures the moment when George Simion, the Gold leader, offers a bouquet of flowers Elena Lasconi, so that she can leave the debate organized by Digi24 at the Unirii Hall, for the Romanians to turn the two candidates for the presidency into protagonists of the show “Bride”.

The absence of George Simion and Victor Ponta gave water to the Romanians, who put them on the remains empty, along with Crin Antonescu, Nicuşor Dan and Elena Lasconi, on the Dac's flag (Cezar Cătălin Avămuță) and the former leader of the PSD, Liviu Dragnea.

Another viral meme on social networks is an image that depicts the two great absences from the debate, Victor Ponta and Nicuşor Dan relaxing and eating Popcorn as they follow as the cinema confrontation of the opponents.

Nicuşor Dan's supporters also showed imagination and destroyed a meme in which Crin Antonescu and Elena Lasconi are depicted as “cough” and “jungle”.
