A man managed to steal a large amount of money from a game hall in the municipality of Slatina, threatening the cashier with a knife. The police arrested the perpetrator the next day, recovering the money.
The robbery took place in the morning of December 28, 2025, around 4:00 a.m., in a game room in the municipality of Slatina. A 41-year-old man, an avid gambler, entered the arcade and, using a knife, threatened the arcade employee, demanding that she hand over her winnings. The man thus managed to leave with approximately 70,000 lei. The woman alerted the police after the man left.
“In fact, on December 28, 2025, the Olt County Police Inspectorate was notified by a woman, an employee of a gambling halls from the municipality of Slatina, regarding the fact that an unknown person would have entered the premises of the unit and, under the threat of a sharp-edged object, would have stolen the sum of approximately 70,000 lei.
In the case, the police have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crime of qualified robbery, and complex investigative-operative activities were immediately started, together with the police of the Criminal Investigation Service, in order to identify the author, recover the damage and order the necessary legal measures”. the representatives of the Olt County Police Inspectorate communicated.
The thief was identified and caught the next day, in the town of Tufeni in Olt county, where the police searched.
“In order to document the criminal activity, on December 29, 2025, two home search warrants were executed at the homes of the suspect. Following the searches, the damage caused was recovered and handed over to the injured person.

The activities were carried out with the support of the Forensic Service, fighters of the Special Actions Service, Section 12 of the Potcoava Rural Police – Tufeni Police Station and the local Slatina Police. The researches are continued, in order to establish the entire criminal activity and to dispose of all the legal measures that are required.
