In Kansk, the deputy chairman of the election commissive was suspected of illegally selling cigarettes

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, criminal cases have been instituted against the deputy chairman of the precinct election commission and his accomplices for the turnover of unmarked cigarettes, the prosecutor's office said.

According to investigators, in March 2021, three residents of Kansk, one of whom is the deputy chairman of the local election commission, decided to earn money on the sale of counterfeit tobacco.

“The organizer of the group was the deputy chairman himself. He invited two acquaintances to sell counterfeit in outlets and shops, and closed the issues of purchasing and supplying prohibited products on himself. For 2.5 years, he ordered illegal sellers of illegal cigarettes with a filter of foreign brands through the Internet network, kept them in an office room, and his accomplices were saved, ”the prosecutor’s office said.

In total, the attackers managed to sell 2570 packs of illegal products. The damage from their unlawful actions exceeded 450 thousand rubles.

A criminal case was instituted against accomplices on the acquisition, storage for the sale and sale of nimaric tobacco products (paragraph “a” part 6 of article 171.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
