According to investigators, during mobilization activities in the Kiev region of Odessa, the suspects illegally deprived a man of his freedom.
So, using physical coercion, they forcibly put him on a bus and drove him around the city for about an hour.
The suspects demanded $6 thousand from the man for not delivering him to the RTCC. For this money they promised to “resolve the issue.”
The court decided to take them into custody without bail.
Context
Against the backdrop of mobilization in Ukraine, conflicts between TCC military personnel and civilians were repeatedly recorded. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in September 2025, 173 of 192 incidents (90%) for which the TCC was blamed turned out to be manipulations.
The ombudsman’s office reported that between January and October, almost 5 thousand complaints from Ukrainians were received about the actions of TCC employees, the UP wrote.
In total, since the beginning of a full-scale war, TCC soldiers have been attacked more than 270 times (data as of January 2026).
New Minister of Defense Mikhail Fedorov promised to solve the problems of the TCC. He said on January 14 that 2 million Ukrainians are wanted, another 200 thousand – in SOCH.
