Shock at Real Madrid: Vinicius risks a two -year suspension for business done in football

The FIFA Ethics Commission is investigating the actions “All Agency Esportivo”, a company related to the Brazilian star Vinicius Junior (24 years old) and led by his father and footballer, Thassilo Soares. The purchase of two professional football clubs is being investigated.

Vini negotiates these days the extension of the contract with Real Madrid
Vinicius Jr. takes on a great risk. The striker of the national team of Brazil and the Spanish Real Madrid band is accused of violating the FIFA ethics code, with reference to paragraph 20, which deals with the conflict of interests of professional footballers.
It all started with the complaint of the Brazilian company “Tiberis Holding”, which, on April 7, was addressed to the FIFA Ethics Committee, denouncing the purchase of football clubs by “All Agency Esportivo”, attributed to Vinicius and managed by his father and agent Thassilo Soares. Which, given that the Brazilian is still an active footballer, would be a conflict of interest, according to the current FIFA rules.
Was preparing to buy a third club
The first act was the sale of the Athletic Club of S João del Rei, a Brazilian Club in Serie B, of which Tiberis owned 16.5% of the shares and was to purchase the majority package. The operation, however, failed due to the “All Agency Esportivo” business, which then took control of the club.
Tiberis then denounced the player for violating Article 20 of the FIFA Ethics Code, which regulates the conflict of interest. The article states that the conflict of interests “appears when a person has, or seems to have, secondary interests that could influence their ability to fulfill their duties with integrity, independence and determination”.
In addition to the Athletic Club, the company controlled by Vinicius Jr. has recently acquired the control of the Alverça group, a club playing in the Portuguese second division. The two clubs, in fact, concluded a transfer contract, the player Rafael Conceição passing from the Brazilian to the Portuguese team.
If the Ethics Committee would find the violation of Article 20, Vinicius Jr. would risk a suspension of up to two years, a fine and the obligation to sell their shares in the two companies. The case is now in FIFA hands. Vinicius's company seemed to be close to the purchase of a Spanish club in the third division.
