The candidate of the “Romania before” alliance, Crin Antonescu, replied, on Wednesday, his counter -candidate, Nicuşor Dan, who accused of allowing areas of Herastrau Park and in the Arc de Triomphe area to reach real estate developers, stating that he signed some property titles because it was legal and that they were not real estate.

The general mayor of the capital, Nicuşor Dan, an independent candidate for the presidential elections, accused, on Wednesday, that by “illegal” acts signed by Crin Antonescu, when he was Minister of Youth and Sport, lands in Herastrau Park and from the Arc de Triomphe area came to real estate developers.

“I think it is normal for Mr. Nicuşor Dan, during this campaign, to say what he wants to do as President of Romania, if he will be elected in the next five years. The number two, about the situation in 1999, the last century, I spoke repeatedly as Minister of Sport. To sign when they were forced to do so. My job, ”said Crin Antonescu, in a press conference.

He also added that, in his opinion, in this election campaign the candidates should talk about the projects they have for Romania “and, possibly, in the case of Mr. Nicuşor Dan, the projects for Bucharest, because he received a massive vote and received a referendum to deal with Bucharest”.

Nicuşor Dan said on Wednesday, in a press conference, on the area of Herastrau Park, that, in 1999, Crin Antonescu, as Minister of Youth and Sport, signed a certificate of attestation of ownership for the company BTT. Nicuşor Dan specified that these acts were subsequently declared illegal in 2008 by the Bucharest Court and in 2015 definitively by the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

In the case of the Youth Beach, Nicuşor Dan said, there are two acts signed by Crin Antonescu as Minister of Youth and Sport, through which these lands came out of the public domain.
