“I am here in a double quality, in the one of interim president of Romania, but also as a citizen of our country. And for two months, for almost two months since I exercise this function, I understood that, from the inside, especially that the president of our country needs three important things. He needs wisdom to represent a country, in such a way. Collaboration between the two power centers, which means the presidency, the government and the parliamentary majority, cannot be made, cannot be created infrastructures, you cannot create conditions for prosperity.
Ilie Bolojan said that these things have understood them from the inside and are valid for anyone who will be the President of Romania.
“As a citizen, I trust Crin Antonescu and I trust that it can be such a president, to take our country before,” the interim president added.
Later, Bolojan was asked by journalists how moral the fact was present at Antonescu's event, given that he is interim president. However, Ilie Bolojan refused to answer the insistent questions of journalists.
