On the pages of the Sejm there were reports of MPs from expenses they incurred to keep their offices from the beginning of their term. They also show how much they spend on their transport. The record holder paid over PLN 13,270 for taxi journeys – says “Fakt”.


Parliamentarians receive over PLN 13,000 salaries and PLN 4,000 a parliamentary diet every month. In addition, they also have at their disposal funds for running their offices, which last year amounted to PLN 22,200, and currently it is PLN 23,310 per month. This money can use, among others for traveling by your own car and taxi journeys.
Although it is necessary to document the journey, no one exactly checks his goal or reason for using a taxi.
A taxi over 4,200 km?
It turns out that Robert Dowhan from KO spent the most. According to its settlement, he spent PLN 13,271 on taxi in 2023 and 2024. Assuming that the rate per kilometer is PLN 3, such an amount would be enough for 4200 km. In addition, as part of a kilometer, he deducted almost 55 thousand. PLN for journeys by your own car. – says “Fakt”.
Izabela Bodnar from Poland 2050 took second place among MPs issuing the most on taxis, which allocated over PLN 13,24 for this purpose. In addition, as part of the mandate, it deducted 19,000. PLN 843 for a private car.

However, among the record holders who settled the highest “kilometers” were: Agnieszka Pomaska from KO (PLN 54,865), Dariusz Matecki from PiS (PLN 53,929) and Ryszard Petru (PLN 50,969).
It is worth adding that MPs are provided by free trains and bus journeys. They can also fly planes around the country for free.
