The Ministry of National Defense has changed his mind and decided to increase the number of new uniformed classes that will be possible to establish this year, “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” said Tuesday. There were much more willing than the ministry originally assumed.

Just before Christmas, the Minister of Defense immediately decided to deal with the problem of military preparation departments (OPW), i.e. uniformed classes created in secondary schools, “DGP” informed. For this purpose, he prepared a draft regulation, significantly increasing the number of such new teaching departments. Of the originally assumed only 10 new military classes, 26 have now become – the newspaper said.

“In connection with the need to increase the number of armed forces of the Republic of Poland, a prospect of increasing financial outlays on state defense in 2025 and subsequent years, as well as great interest of the authorities running the school activation of young people in the defensive scope, there is a urgent need to change the limit of permits for 2025” – indicated the Ministry of National Defense quoted by “DGP”.

Military preparation departments are the teaching formula that was introduced in high schools in 2020. It differs from the old military classes that the Ministry of Defense must agree to the establishment of each branch. He also later co -finances such classes and provides a patronic military unit. Learning theory in high schools lasts for three years, and techniques for four, while in the last class a several -day training camp is organized – donated the daily. (PAP)
