The Turkish Health Ministry is banned from conducting cesarean cuts without medical justification in private healthcare facilities – AFP said on Sunday. The agency reminds that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes that women should give birth to nature.

The implementation of a new law caused indignation among opposition politicians and groups fighting for women's rights.
In January, Erdogan announced that 2025 would be a “year of family”, wanting to remedy the falling fertility rate in Turkey, which in 2023 reached a record low level 1.51. The president many times in his statements suggested that Turkish should have at least three children.
According to data from 2021, Türkiye has the highest indicator of imperial cuts among 38 OECD countries. The World Population Review report indicates that there are 584 emperors on 1000 live births. (PAP)
