“We conduct defense surgery and respond only to the enemy's attacks and storms, as well as his fire of our positions” – noted Wołoszyn.
He added that Ukraine would continue to respond to the actions of the Russian army if the Russians violated the truce they announced. “The behavior of our defenders and, in general, the armed forces of Ukraine is and will be (still) symmetrical – they will react rationally, responding in the same way to every Russian attack,” a spokesman declared.
Easter truce with Ukraine. Zelanski about accusations against Russia
On Saturday, Putin announced an Easter truce in the war with Ukraine, which, in his words, is to apply for 30 hours – from 17 Polish time until 23 on Sunday. Shortly after the indicated time of starting a truce, the head of the Ukrainian government center of counteracting disinformation Andrij Kaluenko announced that Russian forces continue attacks on Ukrainian positions.
On Sunday morning, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski accused Russia of breaking the Easter truce, which Ukraine undertook to respect. As he informed on platform X, from 18 (17:00 in Poland) on Saturday to midnight 387 shells and 19 assault activities of the Russian army were recorded. Russian forces have also used drones 290 times.
