In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the police detained a 43-year-old motorist who knocked down a woman at a vase and disappeared from the scene of an accident. This was told in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.
The day before, law enforcement officers received a message that in the village of Balakt on the side of Lenin Street found a lifeless body of a 51-year-old woman. The law enforcement officers immediately went to the scene, where they found out that the citizen died as a result of an accident. The unknown to death knocked her in a car, after which he disappeared. Next to the body, traffic police inspectors found a side mirror and fragments of a plastic deflector from the car door.
During the operational-search measures, police officers installed a car brand on which the culprit of the accident shot down the dead woman, then his personality. The man was detained.
“Earlier, a convicted man explained to the inspectors that he was moving along the street at a vase at night, he did not notice the pedestrian because of the darkness. When he realized that he had shot down a man, frightened and fled. He thought to leave the car in the courtyard of the house, and go to another city by bus, ”the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.
In relation to the motorist, a criminal case was opened under paragraph “b” of part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code. “Violation of the rules of the road and the operation of vehicles.” The sanction of the article provides for the punishment of the maximum punishment in the form of 12 years in prison. The investigation is conducted.
