A Tunisian arrested in Italy, suspected of preparing an Islamic State attack

The Italian anti-terrorism police announced on Friday that he had arrested a Tunisian citizen suspected of connections with the Islamic State group, who, according to the authorities in Rome, planned an attack on Italy, Agerpres reports AFP.
The man, who lived in Cosnza, in the Calabria region (south), is sought by Tunisia “because he was involved in terrorist activities,” the Italian police said in a statement.
The suspect “intended to carry out a terrorist action in Italy in the near future,” according to the Italian police.
He had a “organizer” and was claimed from Salafism, an ultra -conservative Islamic movement that aims to establish a society under the reign of Islamic Law.
