A tourist area near Mount Schmidt will appear in Norilsk. This was told in Titsa of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The recreation area will include the entrance platform, where warm pavilions, parking, a tourist route with a length of more than 1 km and an observation deck will accommodate. It is planned that the place will become a new “point of attraction” for residents and guests of the city. The project “Line” and the A2 project workshop are responsible for the development of the project.
According to the center, the story of Norilsk began with the Mount Schmidt. In 2021, the first hut was built there. And in the middle of the 20th century, the mountain became an important coal field. She was encircled by a narrow -gauge railway along which mine electric locomotives run. The prey was carried out until the 1970s. Then all the mines were closed.
Now at the foot of the mountain there is a memorial place “Norilskaya Calvary”.
