A new cash injection for Ukraine. Will receive great support from Belgium


A large-scale international assistance project-a Belgian initiative to support the reconstruction of Ukraine (Be-Relieve Ukraine) was launched in Ukraine. It is implemented by the Belgian government through the Enabel Development Agency.
The deputy minister of development of the community and territories of Kostyantyn Kowalczuk explained that the project is not only technical support, but also a partnership between Ukraine and Belgium in the field of reconstruction.
The Belgian initiative will last until the end of 2028. At that time, Ukraine will receive EUR 150 million from Belgium (PLN 644 million). The project is attended by the Czernihowski and Kiev region, as well as the city of Kyiv.
The project includes the following activities:
- modernization of energy infrastructure: implementation of decentralized heating and electricity supply systems, transfer of mobile boiler rooms and generators,
- health care and social protection: reconstruction of medical facilities, rehabilitation programs, integration services,
- Education and employment: renovation of school and university infrastructure, organizing forums to increase the interaction between business and education,
- Support for European integration: facilitating the implementation of reforms and strengthening bonds with Belgian partners.
