After a postponement of several months, the registrations in the Rabla program were resumed on Tuesday, September 30, at 10.00, through the online platform of the Environment Fund Administration. It is for the first time that the program begins so late, and this year it runs with a significantly reduced budget.
The interest of drivers for cars with petrol and diesel engines was huge, so the available funds, worth 80 million lei, were exhausted in just 13 minutes from the opening of the session, with over 7,000 files being submitted.
“In just 13 minutes, 7,298 natural persons registered and exhausted the budget of 80,000,000 lei for the purchase of new vehicles with thermal propulsion systems (with internal combustion, including LPG/GNC engine) or motorcycles and vehicles with hybrid propulsion system.
The computer application worked in optimal parameters, and the minimum deadline for a request was about 1 minute and 20 seconds ”according to an official announcement of the Administration of the Environment Fund.
Instead, the session for electric cars remains open. From the total budget of 120 million lei, over 44 million have been used so far, with 2,516 files, which means that more than one third of the funds are still available.
Those who have failed to get funding for classic cars can wait for an eventual budget or they can orient themselves to the electrical version.
However, the interest in this segment has decreased significantly, because the value of the ecobonus is now only 3,700 euros, half compared to previous editions.
Low budget for 2025
The total budget of the program was established at 200 million lei, more than three times smaller than the one announced at the beginning of the year. In addition, the value of vouchers has also greatly reduced:
* 18,500 lei for a pure electric motor vehicle or hydrogen combustion pile;
* 15,000 lei for a new hybrid plug-in vehicle or electric motorcycle;
* 12,000 lei for a conventional hybrid vehicle;
* 10,000 lei for a vehicle with thermal engine (including LPG/GNC) or motorcycle.
Between 2005 – 2024, through the Rabla Classic and Rabla Plus programs, a total of 1,061,452 vehicles were disposed of and 719,999 new vehicles were purchased, of which 9,797 plug -in hybrid and 49,716 pure electric. specifies the Administration of the Environment Fund.
