In Krasnoyarsk, a 14-year-old teenager died in a hospital after an accident on Odessa Street. This was reported in the traffic police.
Everything happened on the evening of April 9 in the area of house No. 5. The boy crossed the road along an unregulated pedestrian crossing and fell under the wheels of a foreign car. The 56-year-old driver of the Subaru car claims that he noticed a slowdown in a passing truck on the right before Zebra, but did not have time to react-the teenager suddenly ran out in front of his car.
As a result of the accident, the boy received various injuries, he was taken to the hospital.
“For five days, doctors desperately fought for the life of the boy, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to save the child. The traffic police expresses condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased boy, ”the department commented on the situation.
It should be noted that in 2025 this is the second case of the death of a minor pedestrian at Zebra in Krasnoyarsk. The first car accident occurred on Lviv Street, there the driver of the garbage truck knocked out a 10-year-old boy and his mother.
In total, from the beginning of this year, 106 accidents involving pedestrians, in which 8 people died, 100 received various injuries in the regional center.
Auto inspectors are called for increased caution at pedestrian crossings. Drivers need to reduce the speed when approaching the “zebra”, and on foot participants before stepping on the roadway, they should make sure that all vehicles have stopped.
