American services have indicated threats to the USA. “One country is particularly favorable.” We should not have more illusions

The annual analysis of threats carried out by the American intelligence services testifies to how Trump and its supporters perceive the world. “Annual threat assessment” says clearly – Trump gives other priorities internal and foreign policy than its predecessor Joe Biden.
The US intelligence also devoted a lot of space to Greenland.
According to American intelligence services, the biggest threat to US security are currently drug cartels trading synthetic opioids, such as Fentanyl. They made millions of Americans.
For the first time, the US authorities mention Mexican criminal groups, such as the Sinaloa cartel, before the threats from China, Russia, Iran or North Korea.
“Cartles are largely responsible for over 52,000 deaths in the US caused by synthetic opioids within 12 months ending in October 2024 and facilitated the arrival of almost three million illegal migrants in 2024, burdening resources and threatening American communities” – we read in the report. Cartles contributed to “regional instability” and threatened “the health and security of millions of Americans.”
Trump reacted to a threat, ordering a decree to classify some drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations. It has never happened before. To fight the crisis associated with Fentanyl, the Trump administration is also based on restrictive immigration policy and criminal duties against Mexico.
China, China and China again
About a third of the entire analysis applies to the Middle Kingdom. The word “China” appears in the report 103 times.
“China stands out as an entity that will most likely threaten US interests around the world,” intelligence experts believe.
“The Great Renewal of the Chinese Nation” announced by the Chinese leader XI Jinping, which is to be implemented by 2049 by the communist party, is observed in the US with the highest anxiety.
“Beijing will continue to increase his conventional military abilities and tactical forces, intensify competition in space and will continue his industrial and technologically intensive economic strategy to compete with the economic power and global US leadership” – American experts for security predicts.
The expansion of China armed forces fills the American intelligence services with anxiety, and the Middle Kingdom is “the most comprehensive and strongest military threat to US national security”.
Recognition for Putin
In the analysis of threats carried out by American services, one country falls particularly favorably – it is Russia. Unlike China, the Russian Federation is not perceived very critically.

Instead, US services pay attention to Russia's immunity in the face of economic challenges caused by invasion of Ukraine.
“[Putin] He is ready to pay a very high price for winning the time, which he perceives as critical for Russia's strategic competition with the United States, world history and his personal heritage, “writes an American interview about the Russian dictator.
Nevertheless, the American intelligence services are in favor of a quick ending of the conflict.
“The continuation of the war carries a strategic risk for the US: unintentional escalation to the war on a large scale, possible use of nuclear weapons, growing uncertainty among NATO allies, especially in Central, Eastern and Northern Europe, and the stronger presence of China and North Korea” – reads in the analysis.
Reading between the lines: Putin can do what he wants, unless the war has negative consequences for the USA. The White House does not care about what will happen to Ukraine.
A new axis of evil can cause serious problems for the USA
The growing cooperation between US opponents is a greater reason for concern in Washington. The new axis, which includes: China, Russia, Iran and North Korea, means, according to the American services, “new challenges for the global strength and power of the US”, including increased probability, “that tensions or conflicts between the US [zaangażowanie] other [graczy]”.
The report in several places refers to the Arctic and Greenland. According to intelligence analysts, China is looking for direct access to the huge natural resources of this region. Beijing allegedly considers the island to be a “important strategic base” for the future. The same applies to Russia. Moscow is also particularly interested in Greenland, because it runs through it strategically important sea routes between the Arctic and the Atlantic. According to American intelligence, the American military base on the island is thoroughly on the side of Putin.
As for other opponents, US services believe that the threat from smaller players is rather small. The regime in Iran is currently primarily interested in maintaining his own power. The growing dissatisfaction among the population, low economic growth and high inflation are set by Tehran in the face of growing pressure.
There is also North Korea, which, according to American intelligence services, depends on its allies, China and Russia, and without them does not pose a major threat.
Islamic terrorists and climate change? Insignificant
Radical Islamists were mentioned only in the report. Islamic State (ISIS) suffered serious defeats in the Middle East. According to American intelligence services, the ISIS branch in South Asia is the most dangerous. Al-Qaida is a real threat only at the regional level.
For the first time in a decade, the report does not contain a warning about climate change. The Trump 2.0 administration apparently has other priorities.
