Parliament blocks resolutions condemning an attack on sums

One of the resolutions pointed out that three years have passed since the start of the unjustified, unjustified and unlawful military attack on Russia to Ukraine, and this war caused far -reaching and long -term consequences not only for Ukraine, but also for the European Union, including the Slovak Republic. The resolution was to condemn all forms of Russian violence, as well as extensive damage and infrastructure attacks. She was also to support Ukraine's aspirations to membership in the European Union. Parliamentarians were also to call the Slovak government to continue supporting Ukraine's integration efforts and provide its comprehensive help. The draft resolution also called on Russia to withdraw troops from Ukraine.
The proposals were rejected by the votes of the coalition forming Robert Ficy's office. The Slovak prime minister from taking power in the autumn of 2023 rejects military assistance to Ukraine and opposes its membership in NATO. After an attack on a sum in which at least 34 Ukrainian civilians died on Sunday, Fico did not condemn him. Pressed by journalists, he said that he condemns every killing, but he lacks sufficient information about an attack on sums.
On Tuesday, Fico repeated in the social network that he would take part in the celebrations in Moscow on May 9, despite the comments of the head of EU diplomacy Kaji Kallas, who warned EU politicians from traveling to Moscow. “Mrs. Kallas, I would like to inform you that I am a legitimate prime minister of Slovakia – a sovereign country. No one can tell me where I should or should not travel. I will go to Moscow to pay homage to thousands of soldiers of the Red Army who died during the release of Slovakia,” Fico announced.
