Ingredients:

  • one smoked herring;
  • four potatoes;
  • four beets;
  • five eggs;
  • one onion;
  • 100 g mayonnaise;
  • salt, sugar, apple cider vinegar for onion marinade – to taste.

Preparation

  1. Boil eggs, bake or boil potatoes and beets. Cool, clean.
  2. Peel the herring, cut into small cubes, pickle the onion.
  3. Place a little mayonnaise, potatoes, herring, and grated eggs on the bottom of the plate. Coat each layer with mayonnaise. You can make two or three layers if the dishes are tall. The last layer is beets and mayonnaise.
  4. Place the salad in the refrigerator for several hours.
