“It's not worth doing anything with PIT.” The treasury makes mistakes

In the e-PiT service, taxpayers have access to a pre-filled tax return, which takes into account the data to which the National Tax Administration (KAS) has access.
Taxpayers can verify and modify or approve their settlements in the service by the end of April. -It is not worth not doing anything with this PIT, which the treasury has prepared, and for a simple reason: because there are mistakes there too – pointed out Łukasz Zalewski.
– For example, if someone in 2024 was born a child, then the tax office does not know it. He, preparing us with the so -called pre -filled testimony for last year, rewrites the data from the testimony for 2023. So if we showed one child in PIT last year, and now we have two, we are entitled to a relief for two, not one child – the journalist pointed out.

The “Onet in the morning” program also talked about the concessions that taxpayers are entitled to – which are the most popular among Poles and whether there are any limits in their case.
– As usual with concessions, relief is a breach from the tax system. Therefore, each relief is subject to various conditions. The most popular is, of course, the so -called pro -family or children's relief – pointed out Zalewski. And he added: – As for the first child, only the first child is the income limit. He is 112 thousand PLN for spouses and 56 thousand PLN for people raising a child alone.
There are also other reliefs. E.g. on the Internet and thermomodernization. – A very nice relief for owners and co -owners of single -family houses. Importantly, they can deduct 106 thousand. PLN in the case of spouses. And if the owner is one person, he can deduct 56 thousand. PLN actually incurred expenses for thermomodernization. So, for example, to exchange for the purchase of photovoltaics, for the purchase of a heat pump, to replace the windows for insulation of the walls – explained the journalist.
