He was demanded to change indications within the framework of criminal proceedings opened in Ukraine, as well as to transfer $ 180 thousand in favor of those arrested in this case, otherwise they would kill both the Ukrainian himself and his wife, they write in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspects at the Sarpi border point, through which they tried to leave Georgia to Turkey, the release says.

The detainees are charged with extortion and coercion committed by a group of persons in order to obtain material benefits in large scale (Article 181 and Article 150 of the Criminal Code of Georgia). The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that for such crimes they are deprived of freedom for up to seven years.
