The CNA began to eliminate the pro-Russian propaganda from Tiktok: “The analyzed audiovisual materials have an illegal content”

The National Audiovisual Council (CNA) has begun to analyze the Pro-Russia and Pro-Putin messages on the Chinese platform Tiktok and made a first decision to eliminate such content, considering that they are “comments with extremely controversial messages, becoming viral, which can lead to a serious misinformation among the public, as well as to a false information”.

  • This decision was made after Hotnews wrote that it has grown on Tiktok propaganda pro-Russia and pro-Putin, with posts in Romanian. For the first time, they are thousands and are allegedly addressed by Vladimir Putin: “How many of you do I want as president I would Romania?” Or “if Russia attacks Europe, I will fight for Russia”, “our enemy is Europe, not Russia.”

The messages are transmitted in such a way as to create the impression that “Putin” is addressed directly to Romanians. Also, “Putin” on Tiktok invokes a future war between Russia and the EU. Not between Russia and NATO, as before. The US is avoided in messages, “hatred” is mobilized to Europe.

The CNA specifies that they have an illegal content because they are a clearly misinformed message.

Specifically, the CNA approved the decision to request the online platform TIKTOK Elimination of the user account entitled Vladimir Vladimirovici Putin and all the videos related to it, but also content considered illegal from the user account entitled “Mosuresat nothing without God”.

The videos related to the audiovisual material with illegal content represent any materials redistributed in whole or in part by other users of the platform.

CNA: are fictitious messages, likely to mislead the public

“During the meeting on 08.04.2025, the Council analyzed the content of the audiovisual materials as well as the texts displayed within them noting that these messages are not the subject of press releases or information issued by public institutions with duties in this regard, and the text messages displayed from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, being a fictitious nature, being a nature,”

“Analyzing the consequences of propagating this unrealistic information among the public, the Council also concluded that the profile/canal/user account entitled:” Vladimir Vladimirovici Putin “and the profile/canal/user account entitled” MosurestePePePez nothing without God, quickly end up accumulating hundreds of thousands of appreciation, which can be commented on, Serious misinformation among the public as well as a massive propagation of this false information ”, CNA shows.

The Council found that the analyzed audiovisual materials have an illegal content, under the conditions in the audiovisual law prohibit the dissemination within the audiovisual programs of false information, non -compliance, such as misinformation messages, establishing the obligation of broadcasters to favor the free formation of opinions by respecting the principle of correct information.

Propaganda pro-Russia from accounts that supported Georgescu

There are two large categories of accounts, according to HotNews observations. Some are older accounts, which made pro-Georgecu propaganda, some with millions of appreciations, which now do pro-Russia propaganda: nothing without God, Izvoranca, Adrian Simionovici, Dumitrugagica458.

Numerous other accounts, such as Shadowtales, Suvernani, Sincerity, Afinax, Ankversace, Gaborta, Dany, Nica Bucur Ionut Vio, Leo, Cosmin, Daniela Roşu, Amy Noryy, traveler, dab_tv, ovi1, @the foreigner, Custur Ana Maria, Clau combines anti-System messages, with those for Putin,

Many of these posts respond numerous accounts with pro-Putin and pro- Russia messages.

“Putin: Romania is a dictatorial state that follows the orders of the European Union. I will have to release them”-this sounds like one of the messages illustrated with the image of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin or with the flag of Russia, which appeared on Tiktok.

Most messages are presented as if they were transmitted by Vladimir Putin themselves and refer to a possible war between Russia and the EU. Numerous posts induce the idea that Putin is loved by Romanians and that the president of the country would like it. Many of them contain grammatical mistakes.

27,000 fake accounts were used for gold and Georgescu

The Chinese network Tiktok has published a report dedicated to elections in Romania and claims that Gold and Călin Georgescu were the beneficiary of the network with over 27,000 fake accounts in the election campaign, writes G4media.

Tiktok shows in a report to the European Commission, quoted by Biziday, that he eliminated 27,217 accounts that were part of a network.

The report also shows that in September 2024, global measures were taken against a hidden network related to Sputnik Media, and as part of the anti-recid strategy, 11 accounts were eliminated in November 2024, which were believed to be associated with Sputnik Media and targeting publics in Romania and from the Republic of Moldova, according to newsprotv.

The General Prosecutor's Office demanded on January 27, the collaboration of Turkey, through a rogatory commission, for the investigation of a winch farm that contributed to the election campaign of Călin Georgescu, as they declared judicial sources for G4media. The trolls have “electronic addresses” (IPs) located in Turkey and used Russia's email services to create over 20,000 accounts on the Tiktok platform.
