The candidate for the President of the Together party Adrian Zandberg announced that during the Friday meeting with President Andrzej Duda, he would urge him to veto the act lowering the health contribution.

I am politically shared with Andrzej Duda, but I hope that the issue of health safety will be the plane on which we can communicate – he emphasized.
On Friday, Zandberg meets in the Presidential Palace with Andrzej Duda. Before the meeting, he told journalists that he would persuade the president to veto the amendment to the Act reducing the health premium for entrepreneurs adopted by the Sejm.
“We have been politically divided with my term of office and many times in many matters, but I hope that the issue of health safety will be the plane that we will be able to communicate. Because this is not really about a political scuffle, one or another circus organized by one or another committee, it is only about the life and health of thousands of people who are just about the life and health threatened, “said Zandberg.
He announced that he would present to Andrzej Duda specific data “regarding the fact that the NFZ account is a void of how many treatments that have been performed have not yet been paid.” “These are data that means that we should really go beyond traditional political divisions in this matter and talk seriously about what to do to save our public health protection against privatization, because she is threatening us” – noted Zandberg.
At the beginning of April, the Sejm adopted an amendment to lowering the health premium for entrepreneurs. The amendment introduces a two -element basis for calculating the health premium for entrepreneurs – it will be a flat -rate to a certain level, and the surplus of income will be percentage. The flat -rate part of the premium will be 9 percent. from 75 percent minimum remuneration for work. The second part will be calculated from the surplus of income above 1.5 times the average monthly salary with entrepreneurs settling the tax scale or flat tax (4.9 % rate).
In the case of entrepreneurs settling a lump sum, the second part of the premium will be charged on a surplus of revenues above 3 times the average monthly salary (3.5 % rate). The project also assumes a reduction in the premium to 9 percent. with 75 percent minimum wage (currently there is 9 % of the minimum wage) for entrepreneurs paying tax in the form of a tax card. The Act repeals the possibility of settling the health contributions paid in income tax.
