On Wednesday, government spokesman Adam Szłapka commented on Czarnek's decision to submit a vote of no confidence in the Minister of Health. – The opposition has the right to submit motions for a vote of no confidence. We will, of course, vote against, he said.

During the press conference held on Wednesday, government spokesman Adam Szłapka presented his position regarding the vote of no confidence in the Minister of Health.
– The opposition has the right to submit motions for a vote of no confidence. We will, of course, vote against it. The minister works, and health care is a very difficult and complicated matter with many problems, said Szłapka.
As he added, the Minister of Health proposed many solutions, which were blocked by PIS MPs and the president. This concerns, among other things, the proposals of Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda to increase excise duty on alcohol and introduce a sugar tax. The funds obtained in this way would contribute to the health care budget in Poland.
– If PiS MPs want to criticize the minister, let them start with themselves – he emphasized.
On Tuesday, PiS vice-president Przemysław Czarnek announced that he would submit a motion for a vote of no confidence in the Minister of Health.
– Mrs. Sobierańska-Grenda is an example of how one of the most important areas of activity of this country, health care, can be demolished. This is the lady whose dream is to eliminate 30 percent. hospitals. This is the lady whose dream would be for everyone to pay the doctor's invoice and then reimburse it to the National Health Fund, if possible. So this is the lady who would like to privatize the health service – said Czarnek.
According to the chairwoman of the parliamentary health committee, Marta Golbik (KO), the Ministry of Health is the most difficult ministry. In an interview with PAP, she assessed that submitting a vote of no confidence was an element of Czarnek's internal campaign.
At the end of March, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, when asked about the future of the head of the Ministry of Health in connection with the controversy over the financing of diagnostic tests by the National Health Fund, assured that he did not anticipate the resignation of Minister Sobierańska-Grenda.
– She has my full trust in the process of implementing these difficult but necessary reforms that are intended to stabilize the finances of the public health service – emphasized the Prime Minister.
