Calin Georgescu, a former candidate for the presidential election, said that the Romanian political system was controlled, before the US elections, by the former US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, after which the control was taken over by the President of France Emmanuel Macron. Georgescu made this statement in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson and broadcast in Romania by Realitatea TV.

In the first interview given by Călin Georgescu after rejecting his candidacy for the presidential elections, the former candidate accused the “globalist mafia” for interference in the Romanian elections.

“Romania is the most important country in the world”

“It is the same group of intelligences that tried to destroy the campaign of President Trump. I was accused of Russian interference, the same thing that Trump was accused (…) The whole system in Romania is 100% controlled by foreign interference. Prior to the US elections, it was controlled by Antony Blinken, the former Secretary, the former Secretary. France.

Asked by Tucker Carlson how the former US Secretary of State of the Biden administration intervened, Georgescu said: “Everyone knows that it was external intervention, that Blinken has dictated what the system needs to do. Everyone knows. Including President Macron and Maia Sandu and Moldova intervened, but the most important was the blinken.”

When the journalist insisted on how Blinken was involved in Romania, Călin Georgescu invoked the existence of plans that would be related to a war, accusing Direct President Emmanuel Macron, without giving details about the supposed actions of Antony Blinken.

“They do not need a free Romania, the largest NATO military base is in Romania and they want to launch the third World War in Romania and involve the whole of Europe and the US (…) Romania is the gate that leads to war or can protect the world of war. It is the longest border with Ukraine and in this situation Romania is important to the EU,”

The cancellation of his candidacy would have been a reaction to his desire to be “peaceful mediator”. “Romania is the most important country in the world, it is Alfa and Omega for a new era of peace, dignity, love and prosperity. It is the border between good and evil, and this border must be closed because this will be war,” the former candidate said.

Anti-EU statements

In the interview for Tucker Carlson, Georgescu repeatedly made statements of sympathy and support for the Trump administration, at the same time with critics open to the European Union:

  • I did not receive it from Brussels or other countries, but from God.
  • I recognize a single important partner, USA. President Trump is the only guarantor that he can solve the situation in Europe. He is a leader of the world, and a leader understands that he has to save lives, not send people to death.
  • President Trump is the only chance for peace and democracy not only in the US, but only throughout the world (…) and Romanians would vote for President Trump.
  • The EU has set a globalist government with people who have not been chosen. We need to fight globalists on a global scale. We cannot accept islands of sovereignty in an ocean of globalists. We must be a union of countries that fight for sovereignty.

Georgescu argues that if Romania “releases” from the globalist domination, other countries will follow, as in a domino effect.

He also complained about the existence of a persecution of his supporters and eliminating the right to free expression. “Our supporters, including vulnerable ones such as the elderly, single mothers were fined 1,000 euros and were subjected to military searches for social media posts. Pensioners with $ 200-300 pension were fined $ 1,000 (…) The electoral content on social media was forbidden, except for the party members,” said Calin Georgescu.
