Police have announced that he had arrested suspect for “arson” and “terrorism”, after intervening on Saturday night to Sunday at Josh Shapiro's home, an important figure in the US Democrat Party, AFP, quoted by News.ro.

Josh Shapiro, governor of Pennsylvania, northeast US, was in his official residence together with his family when a fire broke out in his Harrisburg home, the state of Pennsylvania, the State Police announced.

“Although the fire was extinguished, it caused important damage to some of the residence,” the police said.

The police stressed that he had arrested a 38 -year -old man named Cody Balmer, suspected of entering the house with a handmade incendiary device. The man is experiencing charges of attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated and aggravated arson.

On the social network X, Shapiro said he was awakened by the “knock” from the police, before being evacuated with his family.

“Thank God, no one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” he wrote, X.

The name of Josh Shapiro was transported last year when the democratic candidate to presidential Kamala Harris was to choose his vice president. Eventually she chose Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, before being defeated in November by Donald Trump.

Shapiro was elected governor of Pennsylvania in 2022, after defeating an ultra-right candidate supported by Donald Trump.
