The location proposed on the outskirts of Anwick, Lincolnshire, would process 120,000 tons of hen and waste to produce gas that would be injected into the national network, writes the BBC.
According to developer Stream Bioenergy, fuel production is a natural process, and the boiler will be very well regulated, and the odors and noise will be carefully controlled. Also, the installation will not affect the image of the locality, adds the documents.
Last but not least, the developer ensures that traffic will not grow, most waste and raw materials coming from the local area, according to the plan developed by the company.
However, the petition against this plan has already collected over 500 signatures. According to the document, the proposal “ignores concerns about the well -being of the inhabitants of Anwick. ”
It also draws attention to producing traffic jams, disturbing odors and on “And disturbances caused by both construction and continuous transport of waste.”
