Instead of 800+ and funds for TVP, money for healthcare? PiS senators will make an amendment

Shifting to health care funds allocated to financing TVP and Polish Radio and funds allocated to the 800+ program for Ukrainian families who do not work in Poland and whose children do not go to Polish schools – it provides for an amendment to the Act on reducing the health premium, which PiS will submit to the Senate.

On Friday, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the Act on healthcare services financed from public funds, which will reduce the health contribution for entrepreneurs. The Act assumes the introduction of a two -element basis for calculating the health premium for entrepreneurs – it would be a flat -rate to a certain level, and from the surplus of income – percentage. The regulations will become effective from the beginning of 2026, and the change will cost the state budget PLN 4.6 billion.

The head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak during the Monday press conference said that the reduction of the health premium would increase the budget hole in the National Health Fund by PLN 6 billion. “You must add another PLN 6 billion to a 20 -million hole today,” he said.

He added that the change adopted on Friday is a threat of privatization of health care. “In our opinion, this is a plan (Donald) of Tusk and (Rafał) Trzaskowski, this is a plan involving the disaster in financing healthcare, and then to privatize healthcare, because they will say that this is the only method to maintain any access to health services, but this access will be only for ginger. The politician announced that the PiS club has prepared a project of the parliamentary resolution in which he opposes the privatization of health care.

“Secondly, the PiS club in the Senate, has prepared an amendment to the Act on financing healthcare, and thus an amendment, which in our opinion will cause that the budget hole, the PLN 6 billion, which is increasing for, will be filled with money from two sources. From the reserve, which is allocated to financing public neo-media, i.e. TVP in the liquidation and Polish radio in liquidation and from the second source concerning and from Receipt of the 800plus program for those Ukrainian families who do not work in Poland that do not pay taxes in Poland and whose children do not go to Polish schools, “Blaszczak announced. He added that this amendment will be made by PiS senators during work on the act.

The act argued a part of the government coalition. On Friday, MPs KO voted for her, including health minister Izabela Leszczyna – who previously announced that she would vote against – and Polish politicians 2050 and PSL. There were PiS, left and circle MPs against the confederation, and the confederation abstained. (PAP)
