It snowed on Saturday night in Sunday in several counties in the country, but road traffic is not affected, and the roads remain open, the info -traf center of the Romanian Police announced. During the night, in the counties where it was snowing it was acted with machines and non -slip material.
The weather has cooled considerably in the country, and the snowfall were announced by meteorologists, who issued a yellow wind, blizzard and snow code for almost the whole country, valid until tonight, at 23.00.
Braşov, Harghita, Neamţ, Prahova, Suceava and Vaslui are among the counties where it snowed last night, but there are no deposits on the road and no traffic restrictions.
In the affected areas, the roads intervened with machines and non -slip material throughout the night.
The meteoplus facebook page has gathered images from several of the areas for which meteorologists have announced snow.
On DN18, in Gutâi Pass, it was snowing and viscolit, last night. The authorities sent three machines with non -slip material to try to prevent road traffic blocking, according to Antena3.
And in Suceava county, it snowed as in full winter.
“The snow removal equipment of DRDP Iași resumed the patrol on the mountain routes in Suceava county, where the rains during the day turned quickly,” DRDP Iași said on Saturday.
What is the traffic situation
The Infotrafic Center of the Romanian Police informs that, at 7:15 am, no national roads or highways were recorded as a result of the weather conditions.
On Sunday, there are rainfall in the form of snow in Brasov, Covasna, Harghita, Neamţ, Prahova, Suceava and Vaslui counties, but without deposits on the road and without imposing traffic restrictions.
Road traffic is carried out on a wet road in the other counties targeted by the meteorological warning in force, with precipitations in the form of light rain, according to the infotrafic center being reported.
On the main road arteries adjacent to the capital, respectively the A0, A1, A2 and A3 motorways, are circulating on a wet road, sometimes under rain, without traffic restrictions and without visibility problems.
During the night, in the counties in which it snowed, it was acted with machines and non -slip material, not at the moment being reported road accidents to generate traffic restrictions.
Under these conditions, road police recommend to drivers that, before leaving, they will be informed about the weather conditions in the areas where they are going to move and equip their car properly, with winter tires.
